Frequently Asked Questions:

Do you work for specific surgeons? I am not associated with any one surgeon. I recover patients for many different surgeons. I am an independent Registered Nurse that is hired directly by clients.

How long do patients usually hire me for? Depending on the type of surgery and needs of the patient, I am usually hired for 4 to 5 days and regularly recover patients for up to one week.

Do you ever recover two clients at once? Yes! I actually love this situation and think it is great for my patients to have a friend or family member to recover with.

Where do you sleep? I get this question so often! I usually sleep in a guest bed or on a couch. I don’t sleep much, especially the first night. But my clients are well taken care of and that is my goal.

Who pays for travel expenses? I cover all my travel expenses and bring my own food.

What is my cancellation policy? My policy mirrors most plastic surgeons cancellation policies. I require a 50% deposit to hold your spot on my calendar. The remaining balance is due two weeks prior to your surgery. The full cancellation policy is included in my service contract.

When does our contract begin? Our contract begins, and my fee starts, when I meet you face to face. This happens when your surgeons nurse feels you are safe to go home. At that time I become your advocate and assume your care. Sometimes surgery schedules shift and things get delayed. You will not pay me during these delays. I am flexible and want you to get the most of our time together.

What kind of food should you have for after surgery? Some of the foods I suggest after surgery include:

  • healthy soups, oatmeal, yogurt with probiotics, fruit, avocados, hard boiled eggs, lean proteins, whole grains, Kodiak protein pancakes or waffles with nut butter, chicken or tuna salad, crackers and clear soda (incase of nausea)

*(please remember that if you have a facelift you are going to want soft foods that are easy to chew)

Do you provide Transportation? Usually, Yes. I drive you home after surgery and to and from your post op appointment if it falls within our contracted time together. I will on occasion drive a client to the surgery as well if this is needed.

What is included in your concierge service? I do not have an “a la carte” menu of what I do for my clients. I take care of whatever you need. most importantly, I manage dressings, medications, drains, nutrition and the overall well-being of you. Once I am confident these things are taken care of, I handle anything you need. showering, toileting, massage, errands, food prep and anything that will create space for you to just rest and heal.
